A brief look at the history of The Al Turner Company
1988: Company established by Alan F. Turner in Fresno, California
1990: Company moved to Santa Rosa, California, hometown of Mr. Turner.
1991: Conducts business as a design / development studio in the AEC industry
1992: First small scale AEC development started and completed.
1994: Concept development begins on a new idea of amusement park
1996: Company moves into larger offices and expands into larger projects
1997: Substantial resources dedicated to flushing out a new amusement park concept. This effort established the foundation for the design philosophies of all indoor and outdoor entertainment that was to follow.
1998: 2400 acres in Northern California were optioned for large scale entertainment development.
1999: Large scale entertainment development placed on hold and land option not exercised. R&D completed on new amusement park concept.
2000 A few small scale AEC developments completed. R&D on entertainment development resumes. Company begins to downsize office space to become a hybrid cyber office.
2001: Company is split into two forms: The Al Turner Company, which is to focus on the entertainment developments; The Al Turner Studio, which will continue limited AEC development and philanthropic design projects. Work continues on R&D of entertainment development.
2002: Final process and procedures, R&D, and plan of action completed on entertainment development. Collateral film and consumer product concepts begin.
2003: Capital Acquisition plans completed for what will be The Al Turner Company’s’ debut entertainment development.
2004: Phase I completion of debut entertainment development completed.
2005: Phase II under way for the debut entertainment development. Location and plans begin to move into new offices to accommodate the sustained expansion over the next 10 years. Location search new company office complex begin.
2006: Various sites throughout the United States are reviewed for debut entertainment development. Locations include West Virginia, California, Illinois, Texas, and Mississippi. Business planning at all levels continues.
2007: Two sites identified for debut entertainment development. Land owners contacted and Government cooperation identified and established. Location search for new company office complex completed.
